No reservations but can join the wait list online. Hill Top Cafe- hop in the car and head just down the road for delicious, casual texas cuisine in the heart of the hillcountry. Don't miss the seafood dishes. Pecan Grove- Situated in an old Sinclair Gas station, this place is really fun! Enjoy a great burger and beer or glass of wine under an old pecan tree. Casa Chloe- Upscale Mexican food. Recommend reservations.
Fredericksburg is the heart of "Texas Wine Country". Most vineyards are 15-20 min outside of town, but many vineyards have tasting rooms in town. Reservations are recommended at most. There are a large number of companies who offer private and group tours with transportation to visit several wineries. Plan ahead if this is something you may be interested in. Grape Creek Vineyards / Heath Sparkling Wines– Beautiful grounds and a classic tasting experience. Signor Vineyards – Our Favorite! One of the most picturesque spots to enjoy a good glass of wine and charcuterie. Becker Vineyards – Known for their lavender fields and award-winning wines. William Chris Vineyards – A favorite for 100% Texas-grown wines. Slate Theory- an all around favorite. Reserve a wine cave tour in advance.
