Justin and Annie's story began as any modern day romance does - on Tinder. Both students at the University of Oregon, Justin was a Junior on the lacrosse team pursuing a degree in Political Science. Annie was mid-way through her sophomore year, a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority, and, at that time, was majoring in Journalism...which became Business...then History.....then Economics. Justin noticed Annie's profile mentioned her love of 30 For 30 documentaries. When they matched, he turned up the charm and started his first conversation with his future wife with, "I'd LOVE to watch a 30 For 30 with you....which one is your favorite?". Between jobs, sports, and school, "dates" came in various forms. They'd sit for hours at the residence hall front desks where Annie worked, studied together at the library, ordered pizza and watched Survivor. On May 10th, 2015 at the Oregon Coast, Justin asked Annie to be his girlfriend. The two have been together ever since.

Their engagement was simple and sweet. They took a hike up Little Cottonwood Canyon and found a spot nestled amongst a snow melt lake. Justin walked Annie through the last four and a half years they had spent with one another. He admitted to being a workaholic but emphasized that Annie and the life they had built together would always come first - always. He got down on one knee and promised to love and protect Annie for the rest of his life. He asked if she would marry him and she said yes...well...."Are you shitting me?"....then yes. And now, here we are. Just a few months from tying the knot at a auto-shop turned winery in Annie's hometown of Portland, Oregon. They seem like complete stereotypical opposites. The outgoing lacrosse player with the independent and socially selective history buff. But it works. Now, they take their relationship to the next level and start their next chapter as a married couple. And it's all thanks to Tinder.

- They have traveled to 8 states and 9 countries together including Iceland, England, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, The Netherlands, Portugal, Germany, and the Dominican Republic. Australia, New Zealand, and Canada are up next! - The first time they met was only a day or two after they met on Tinder. Annie found a drunk person passed out in the bushes one night and the only person she knew with a car in the area was Justin...He picked both of them up, dropped the student back off at the dorms, and drove Annie home. - At the 2015 Rose Bowl (the one where Oregon beat the reigning National Champ by 30+ points), they sat two rows away from each other and had no idea. - In June of 2018, they became home owners just 20 minutes from their home ski resort in Little Cottonwood Canyon. - Collectively, they have tried beers from 150+ breweries across the United States (and Justin still prefers cheap American beer) - These Duck Alumnni have attended over 30 Oregon Football games since they met in college. - Collectively, Justin and Annie have run 5 Ragnar Relays, 2 Hood To Coast Relays, and 2 Half Marathons together. Annie holds the tie breaker with 2 Marathons in 2018 but Justin hopes to run his first next year! - They are the proud owners of 3 rescue animals : Winston and Churchill (a pair of black cats) and their most recent addition Bear (a 9 year old mutt). - They've hiked some of the most difficult trails in the US : Angel's Landing in Zion National Park, Mt. Olympus along the Wasatch Front, and the 17 miles down South Kaibab Trail and back up Bright Angel at Grand Canyon National Park. - Although Annie has only been skiing for three seasons, they've checked off 100 days in the mountains together at resorts like Snowbird, Alta, Deer Valley, Brighton, Solitude, Park City, Snowbasin, Jackson Hole, Big Sky, and Bridger Bowl. They are excited to add three more resorts to this list during their Honeymoon - Banff Sunshine, Lake Louise, and Revelstoke all in Canada!
