Josh went 10 years before trying the all famous Meche's donuts! A 54 year donut making tradition. Now that he's had them he loves them! To add to the list, Annie's cousin Evie also loves these donuts. When Evie's family was living in Texas, Annie brought a full dozen across state lines for Evie's birthday. They built a tower of donuts to act as a cake. Everyone loves Meches! Open from 4am to 1pm you can get in a tasty treat almost anytime! You can get a king cake even in November, just make sure to order the day before so they can prepare it fresh for you! Josh's favorite is the cream cheese filled donut & cheese boudin balls. Annie's is the cinnamon sugar cake donut, or a raspberry and cream cheese filled king cake.
Making poorboys since 1982! A classic and deserving stop in Lafayette, you can't go wrong with Olde Tyme. They make a proper po'boy - scraping the bread out to fit more proteins and condiments. Annie's favorite is the shrimp po'boy. Josh's is the roast beef.
