Our favorite beaches are Ridgevale Beach (down the street from Annie's parents' place), Oyster Pond, Lighthouse Beach, Hardings Beach (Jesse proposed at the lighthouse here!), and Schoolhouse Pond. There are public parking lots at all locations. The link below provides more information about each destination.
Spend time strolling Chatham's scenic main street! We've listed some select favorites of ours further down this page, but there is so much to discover. The link below provides additional recommendations for your visit - Annie & Jesse love to poke around The Mayflower Shop, St. Christopher's Consignment, and Yankee Ingenuity. There are several public parking lots along Main Street.
Jesse often jokes that the Healys never leave Chatham, so he has always been a huge proponent of Harwich Port - which we can't blame him for! We love grabbing a bite from Hot Stove Saloon, a mudslide from The Port, sushi from 3 Monkeys, a quick trip for records at Murphy's General Store, and more. Additional recommendations are included in the link below. There is public parking next to Mad Minnow Bar & Kitchen at 1 Schoolhouse Road.
Annie's very first job was at Marion's - she spent several summers working the counter and sneaking 7-layer bars as mid-shift snacks with her cousins, Megan and Rose. We recommend the Chatham muffins and cinnamon rolls for breakfast and bringing a Chocolate Cream Pie or Bailey Berry Pie home with you for a post-wedding treat.
The Squire is an institution on Cape Cod. Settle in for a cold drink and a light snack - just make sure to leave a little energy for the after party!
One of Jesse and Annie's favorite places to dine out in Chatham. Order the Korean Sticky Ribs while you wait for your sushi - you won't regret it.
A go-to for a good slice. Stop in for "second lunch" while you stroll Chatham Main Street. They apparently don't have a website - their Four Square page is below and their number is: (508) 945-5300.
The sweetest spot in town. Do not leave Chatham without building your own box of chocolates - we drool over the "Ritzeys," chocolate covered Oreos, and salted caramels.
A great spot for breakfast or lunch! Pop into their shop on Chatham Main Street for coffee, a breakfast sandwich, breakfast pastries, or a great deli sandwich for lunch (we love their pressed paninis). They have additional seating in the back for those looking to put their feet up.
A cute spot on the Chatham-Harwich town line - we love stopping in for a burrito but the real star is their homemade whoopie pie.
This is Annie and Jesse's favorite breakfast spot in town. It's a tiny diner located at the (very small but operating) Chatham Airport. Don't let the location fool you - their food is so yummy! If you can't get a table, Larry's PX is another great diner option.
A Chatham classic. Visitors from near and far make a point to visit the Fish Pier to search for seals and watch the boats go by. Jesse loves the blackened tuna steak sandwich and his parents swear by the lobster bisque.
CBI is synonymous with Chatham. We recommend stopping by for a drink at their Bayview Terrace that looks out to Lighthouse Beach before a meal.
A historic and revitalized theater from 1915! The Orpheum is a great spot to spend a rainy afternoon or evening. But, we're all praying for no rain during our wedding weekend so you may have to come back to enjoy a flick...
If you're visiting from out of town and looking for a place for a great dinner, we recommend one of the following! The link below can also be referenced as a resource. Del Mar Bistro Viera on Main (where our rehearsal dinner will be) Pate's Chatham Cut Buca's Tuscan Roadhouse Red River BBQ Mom & Pop's Burgers Mac's Chatham Fish & Lobster
The Chatham Bike Path runs throughout the town and offers an 8-mile stretch of safe riding. Visitors can also walk along the path. You can rent bikes at Wheelhouse Bike Co. in Chatham, but check in with your hotel first as they may offer complimentary bikes!
