Jeff and Annie first met on the 4th of July in 2007. Annie and her family were enjoying the fireworks at the Truax Field Air National Guard base, where her brother Brian was working for the summer. Jeff came over to talk to Brian, and he introduced Jeff to his family. The fireworks were beautiful that night, but romantic sparks didn't fly until about a year later... After being dumped by a guy she was seeing, Annie called the person she often relies on for support, her little brother, Brian. In between sniffles, he reassured her everything would be okay and he would set her up with his buddy from the Guard, Jeff. A week or so later, Annie logged into Facebook to see that some random weirdo named Jeffrey Tokarczyk had accepted her friend request, which she did not recall sending. After realizing her sneaky brother had hacked her account and sent the request, Annie messaged Jeff. They chatted online for a couple of weeks and he asked her out on a date. On May 9, 2008, Annie distinctly recalls her roommate watching out the window for Jeff and exclaiming, "Wow! He has a nice car! That's a good sign!" Their first date was at the Angelic Brewery in Madison, WI and afterwards they watched the movie Cloverfield at Jeff's place. Fast forward 12 year later, and they have finally decided to tie the knot!
