Question
What airport should we fly into?
Answer
When traveling to Bar Harbor, Boston and Portland airports are excellent starting points. Portland is just over a three-hour drive, while Boston is about four and a half hours away. Both airports offer rental cars for a scenic drive up the coast. Although Bangor, Maine, is only an hour from Bar Harbor, its airport has limited direct flights.

What is the dress code?
Answer
Saturday night will be a Bar Harbor casual welcome party (sundresses, shorts, collared shirts). The ceremony and reception will be black tie optional.

What is the weather going to be like?
Answer
Maine is gorgeous during July and will be peak season for all of the activities they have to offer! Highs are typically in the mid 70s.

What are the wedding events?

Please join us for the welcome party on July 19th (James's Birthday) and the ceremony on July 20th. More details can be found under the 'Schedule' tab. These will be updated as we get closer to the big day!

What should I expect on the sunset cruise?
Answer
This is an optional event open to anyone attending our reception. The cruise departs from Bar Harbor Inn & Spa where our ceremony and reception will take place. Tickets can be purchased for the 6:30 PM Schooner Sunset Sail-Margaret Todd. Feel free to change out of your wedding attire and into something more comfortable for the cruise. Do you have a hotel block?
Answer
We do have some rooms available at the Bar Harbor Inn. If you wish to inquire, please call the Bar Harbor Inn and ask for the Jackson Stewart Block.
