Emilia and Annie met as random roommates freshman year at William & Mary and quickly became an inseparable pair and best friends for the next decade. They promised to be each others maids of honor long before knowing who the grooms would be and Annie is keeping that promise to her best friend forever. 👩🏼🐰👩🏻
Angelica

Friend of the bride.🖤 Angelica is also no longer with us physically on earth, but as a close friend to both Annie and Jake, she holds a special place in their hearts and is an honorary bridesmaid. She was there from the very beginning of their relationship in Savannah. Just this past fall, Angelica helped choose the square for the wedding ceremony (Orleans Square), making it even more special. It’s heartbreaking she can’t be here for the actual wedding. 💔

Sister of the bride.🧡 Julia and Annie are only seventeen months apart and grew up very close, going through all of life’s phases together. Even now at a distance, they stay close through travel, concerts, a niche sense of humor, and much more. It’s only natural for Julia to be there as Annie’s bridesmaid, bringing a good time and whimsical vibes.🔮

Friend of the bride.🩷 Melanie and Annie went to William & Mary together and became friends through Emilia. The three became very close senior year, creating many shared memories that have bonded them for life. Melanie and Annie also got engaged around the same time and have gotten to go through wedding planning together. Melanie is always down to celebrate friends and brings only good vibes as a bridesmaid. 🥂

Sister of the bride.💜 As Annie’s oldest sister, Steph (aka Sissy) has always been there as the fun, talented, and cool big sister. They always have a good time together, whether it’s going to a weezer concert or singing karaoke. Annie has been lucky to have Steph as a photographer throughout her life, including for engagement photos 📸 (see the Gallery tab!). Now she will be there to bring her great humor and creativity as a bridesmaid.✨🎤

Cousin of the bride.💚 Born only two months apart, Alix and Annie have been together from the beginning. Through all the family vacations and cousin holiday time, they have stayed close as ever. They are forever bonded through their shared West Virginia roots and Appalachian culture. After a lifetime of memories, Alix will be there to bring a good time and chic vibes to this next life phase. 💅🏼🍻

Friend of the bride.🩵 Chelsea and Annie have known each other since they were two years old in daycare. Growing up together in Asheville created a lifelong friendship and countless fun memories. They have stayed close even as they’ve moved around the country, which included taking a cross-country road trip together to LA. 🚗✌🏻 After years of friendship, Chelsea will be there to keep the good times going and to celebrate Annie as her bridesmaid. 🫶🏼

Future sister-in-law to the bride.❤️ As Jake’s sister-in-law, Cindy has been a big support and great friend to Annie since the beginning of their relationship. Annie and Cindy have grown close over the years of Wessel family gatherings and vacations, and are excited to be official sister-in-laws. Cindy is sure to bring her fun and loving energy as Annie’s bridesmaid and into this next phase of life. 🥂

Older brother of the groom. ♣️ Zack is two years older than Jake, and Jake learned a lot from him over the years as the wiser older sibling. He is always good at keeping in touch with the important people in his life, and can always be counted on for chronicling in detail any trips taken together. Younger brother of the groom. ♥️ Noah is four years younger than Jake, and recently became a father to a baby girl with his wife Remziye. Noah is always reliable, understanding, and grounded. Friend of the groom. ♠️ Andrew and Jake were roommates for several years in Savannah and Andrew is Jake’s closest friend from when he lived there. Andrew is a born and raised Savannahian, a talented musician, and left-handed. 🎸
