We met studying abroad on a boat with Semester at Sea in 2014. After that trip we traveled back and forth in college soaking up each others worlds until we both moved to Nashville. Two years later we both left the country at different times and for different reasons and concluded our travels together in Nepal and India with the company of some close friends. When we returned to the states we started the journey out west and landed in Colorado to live near the mountains and people we love (although we really miss the ocean). We have been beyond lucky to be supported by family and good friends along the way as we carve a place for ourselves on this pale blue dot. Thank you to those who have played a part in helping us be the humans we are and those who have supported our love for each other.
It was honestly so awkward, which if you know us is pretty fitting. By the end of it we were both on one knee laughing because proposing is such a weird concept. We were out in Utah at the national parks watching the sunset and on our way back to the campsite Hudson had our closest friends and family write us letters. We read them and cried under the stars (after a minor panic attack because getting married is insane) and then had three days of adventuring without service in the Utah mountains. You may ask #WhyUtah? Well, we honestly don't know. But it's pretty dope and beautiful so come on out and soak up some mountain desert summertime!
We are getting married at Powder Mountain in Eden, Utah! Please head over to Travel to see more details.
