Annie and Henry met through their mutual friend, Austin Tran. After a night hanging out with each other at the bars in the Domain in Austin, they knew it was love that first sight. They began dating shortly after on March 15th, 2019. Although they knew they wanted to be together, they had a lot of challenges that faced them. Their relationship started out as long distance. At first, the distance was not a problem since Henry lived in San Antonio for optometry school and Annie lived in Austin for work. After a year, Annie got the opportunity to move to Dallas for a better job opportunity and it put 5 hours between them. Shortly after Annie's move, Henry also had to move out of state to complete his externships and he had to live in Illinois and Louisiana. They had to stay long distance for 2.5 years and for one of the years, they barely saw each other (only four times, they kept track). Despite the distance and their busy schedules that kept them apart, they found ways to show up for each other. They called each other every day in the morning when they woke up, and would call each other before they went to bed at night. They enjoyed talking with each other so much their calls could last for hours. After Henry completed his externships, Henry was finally able to move to Dallas so they could finally be together in the same city. Shortly after they welcomed a cute furry baby girl and Amelia joined their lives! Their small family lived a happy life as Annie and Henry grew closer after finally being able to live together. Henry proposed to Annie on March 16th 2025, almost exactly 6 years after they officially started dating. Among a full spring bloom of tulips at the Dallas Arboretum, they rejoiced at beginning another new chapter of their lives together.
