Camp Sealth

For interested guests, Corey and I are pleased to offer accommodations at our wedding venue, Camp Sealth, free of charge from Friday through Sunday! Cabin accommodations are rustic, dorm-style, with 4 to 10 single and/or bunk beds per room and separate bathhouses. If interested, family and friends will be assigned cabins based on their needs. For those looking to connect even more closely with nature, tent and RV sites are also available. Please indicate if you would like to stay on-site for the wedding weekend and which accommodations you would prefer when you RSVP to your wedding invitation.

For those guests looking for accommodations that are a little less rustic than a stay at camp for the weekend, there are a number of rental stays on Vashon island (and in Seattle or Tacoma, near the airport or near ferry terminals). HOWEVER, there aren't many options and they do book up quickly! We recommend booking your accommodations ASAP if this option is best for you.

Getting to Camp Sealth: The Ferry

Vashon Island is accessible ONLY by ferry from Seattle (Fauntleroy to Vashon) or Tacoma (Pt Defiance to Talequah). RESERVATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. The Ferry Service suggests arriving an hour ahead of time (for weekends in the summer). The Port Defiance Terminal tends to be less busy and if you are staying on the south side of the island (the camp is on the south side) this ferry may be a safer option. It is approximately a 20 min drive from the airport (headed NW) and slightly more from downtown Seattle (headed SW). Public transit is also available to this location but may take twice as long. If you are an out-of-town guest heading straight to Vashon Island via this terminal, we would recommend taking a taxi or uber here from the airport. If you are looking to save some money and/or explore Seattle, you may want to consider public transit. It is an approximately 40 min drive south of the airport. For those that have a car and choose to take this ferry, your drive to the wedding venue from the Tahlequah (Vashon Is.) terminal, on the south side of the island, is only 12 min. Total driving time from the airport to wedding venue: about 55 min + ferry ride.

This hotel is right next to the Tacoma Ferry Terminal on the water. Including Ferry travel, Google Maps estimates a 40-minute drive to Camp Sealth.

This is one of the closest hotels to the West Seattle Ferry Terminal and is located in West Seattle. It is still over an hour drive to Camp Sealth including the ferry.
