FAQs

Please reach out to Annie at 310-987-1905 with any other questions you may have.
Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Black-tie optional- tuxedos, suits or gowns are all welcome.

Question

Is the ceremony Catholic?

Answer

Yes. The full Mass runs about an hour. All guests are warmly welcome regardless of faith — no participation required, just be present with us.

Question

I'm not Catholic. What should I do during Mass?

Answer

Sit, stand, and kneel along with everyone if you're comfortable, or stay seated — both are fine. During Communion, non-Catholics are welcome to remain in their seats or come forward with arms crossed over the chest to receive a blessing from the priest.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Plan to be seated by 5:45 pm. The ceremony begins promptly at 6:00 pm.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both are indoors.

Question

Any tips for getting to the ceremony on time?

Answer

June 19 is Juneteenth, so commuter traffic should be lighter than a typical Friday — but Santa Monica beach traffic can be heavy on holiday afternoons. Build in extra time, especially if you're coming from the east side or the Valley.

Question

Where do I park?

Answer

At St. Monica Catholic Church, free underground parking is available beneath the Caruso Community Center — enter via the California Ave. driveway between Lincoln Blvd. and 7th St. There's also metered and free street parking nearby. At The Georgian Hotel, valet will be available for cocktail hour and reception.
