where love meets forever

They met on Harstine island. Reece washed up on shore with a few of his friends during a senior kayaking trip while Anni was on her junior year spring break tanning with her best friend. Reece bravely approached the two ladies and asked for a phone charger, and they eagerly gave him one. Soon after, a storm came out of nowhere, the boys needing sanctuary to wait out the currents, they made friends with the community pie lady who called the Harstine Administration, giving the boys permission to camp on the private island for one night. That evening, Anni and her bestfriend snuck food, blankets and beverages to the boys, only they were not so sneaky. Anni's Grandma caught them immediately only to their surprise, she wasn't mad, in fact, she insisted the boys needed more. After supplying the boys with as much (probably too much) food and warmth as they could, they said goodnight and headed home, waited for the grandparents to fall asleep and snuck out to watch the stars with their new island friends. Reece and Anni laid on the beach and talked about a lot that night. It was in this moment; they looked at each other like they knew their lives just changed. The next morning, the girls watched the boys sail off to their next adventure and Anni and Reece kept in touch over the next few years until Reece finally mustered up the courage to ask Anni on a date. Their hearts have been intertwined ever since.
