Miki MacArthur

Matron of Honor

Met this wonderful lady when I was 14 years old. I got into a lot of mischief with her and somehow...after a few years went by, become one of my parent's favorite people....and of course...mine. After going off to college she got a key to my parents house and all. She's always been an old soul and so full of positive energy, a teacher to me for sure. She chooses to learn and love so fully in life and is one of the humans I admire most deeply. Time may be too long between our connections, but the richness of that connection never wanes. So grateful.

JIm Eggleston (Uncle Jim)

Best Man

Uncle Jim, we met, well... He has been with me through thick and thin. We both grew up in Colorado...Jim maybe just a few years ahead of me. We are both lovers of the outdoors, riding dirt bikes and mutually appreciative of my grandpa's (Jim dad's) impressive gun collection. Jim is a loyal and kind man who I am honored to have stand beside me.

Kristen Green

Bridesmaid

Met Kristen after college and engaged with her (and the other seester) in the debauchery of living life in a ski town. 22 years ago, we slung BBQ together in Breckenridge Colorado and got ourselves up to no good. Then we hiked, skied and rode bikes...a lot. We were roomies twice in Boulder and after her spending 10 years in the Northeast, she came back to the Rockies where we have the great opportunity to continue an awesome lifelong friendship. Her friendship is loyal and loving. I admire her ability to grow and am grateful to be the vicarious benefactor of that way of being.

Jay Quadracci

Groomsman

Jay and I met in the mid-90’s in Greeley while I was a new firefighter with Union Colony Fire (later to be named Greeley Fire), and Jay was the chief photographer at the Greeley Tribune newspaper. I would help Jay not get killed on emergency scenes, and Jay would help me become a better photographer. Fast forward a number of years and jobs, and Jay ends up being a firefighter..since newspapers aren’t a thing anymore. We share a lot of interests together in firefighting, photography, coffee, and Jay is always trying to get me to ride up a hill faster on my bike. Most of all we share an interest in just trying to be a decent human being in the world.

Nicole Gervais

Bridesmaid

The other seester :) Met this gal 22 years ago in Breckenridge Colorado. Also slung BBQ together, got up to no good. Then continued that up to no good tradition for the past 22 years using her fluency in the spanish language to get us in to trouble...on more than one occasion. She too is back in Colorado after several years in the Northeast where we get to continue our lifelong friendship. Nicole is a loving, kind and thoughtful friend who's wisdom and insight I cherish and who's fun and light hearted way of living is an inspiration.

John Forster

Groomsman

I met John on the job in Greeley beginning with our work on the dive team. When I caught a position at Station 3 as long term acting engineer, it began the friendship we still have today. Luckily, my engineer promotion kept me at Station 3 where we worked hard on duty and played hard off duty. We spent a lot of time riding and racing in the woods on our off days. And when another promotion pulled me to station 1, we played less, but our friendship is as cherished as ever. That's about it for John...except that in the last few years his hairline has gotten a lot closer to mine!

Jillian MacArthur

Flower Girl

Daughter of the Matron of Honor...cute as a button. What more is there to say?

Mel Miller

Officiant

I met this amazing woman about 20 years ago by way of seester Kristen :) Mel gets sh** done yet delivers with more love and laughter than I've ever seen from another human. I've played in the mountains with this lady on ski and foot while finding humor and thoughtfulness in conversation...on both simple subjects and the ones in which we plot to change our corner of the world. I am so grateful for her positive attitude and intelligence and for having a friend who will hold me lovingly accountable for being a better human. Both Shawn and I are grateful for her caring and for holding us to the vows that will mold our marriage.

For all the days along the way
