Considered the most beautiful architecture in northern Mexico. At dusk a large part of the buildings has a stage lighting that no one can miss. Part of the Camino Real de Tierra Adentro, its center has architectural jewels of Baroque style. To admire its wonderful monuments, it is worth walking through its pedestrian streets with the view always upwards. In addition to having one of the most beautiful cathedrals the country, you should visit its Plaza de las Armas, Plaza IV Centenario, the Conde de Súchil Palace, the Victoria Theater, the Palace of Tears and more.
It is seated in the Palacio de Zambrano, with a beautiful baroque facade. The museum consists of 10 rooms with different themes; in the permanent rooms infographics, models, objects, photographs, graphics and videos, narrating childhood, the revolutionary struggle and place in the history of Mexico of General Villa, also known as the "Centaur of the North" are displayed.
This baroque building is famous for its gilded choir chairs and paintings by Mexican artists. Previously it was in its place the old parish of the Assumption, that caught fire constructing in its place this cathedral towards 1695. Its facade is of sober baroque style and until 1965 was painted of yellow. Inside, you will see Byzantine and fresco motifs from the beginning of the 20th century, as well as part of the 18th century furniture, such as the choir stalls. They say that the nights of full moon you can see the silhouette of a nun in the bell tower. Also inside the Cathedral you can find the Museum of Sacred Art which has about 500 pieces of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries distributed in eight rooms.
