Across the room: a glance, a shimmer, and a sparkle. They met at the beginning of a friend's marriage, on their day of bliss. Little did they know that five years later it would be the two of them getting engaged and planning their own magical day. While playing soccer at competing community colleges, living separate lives across state lines, and discovering their mutual love for Star Wars and hot wings, their love blossomed. They continued on a shared path of completing their educations. Annese became a Rebel, and Peter became a Bulldog. Although they were once again at rival schools, their relationship continued to grow stronger. Graduation came and went and they both found their way back home, one to find a job to afford more hot wings, and the other to start a masters program to study more about hot wings... just kidding— to become an occupational therapist. Today, the accountant waits for the day he can debit: marriage and credit: spending the rest of their lives together. We look forward to spending a special day with our friends and family, and growing in our relationship and love for each other... and hot wings.
Annese and Peter took a trip to Jackson, MS to visit her sister. The morning of, Annese ran 7 miles with her sister and Peter watched Fixer Upper with her nephew (5 months old). She was expecting a normal day with her sister, but like the grinch, Peter sleuthed and sneaked, making plans that would surprise Annese. She left for her run, excited and nourished, he took a shower because he was nervous. She came back from her run, tired and accomplished, he ate a snack feeling a bit sluggish. She left the house with her sister, under the guise of getting their nails done together. He left the house with her brother-in-law and his baby to get the cupcakes that were used to propose. On the overlook over the reservoir a picnic was set, and he waited. Her sister was driving, "Let’s go to my friend’s house before we head home", she said. She pulled up to the overlook, unexpected to see him and his nervous smile. He knew she would have it figured out by the time she pulled up, but none of that mattered because the moment they locked eyes they knew this was the first day of the rest of their lives together.
