While mostly indoors, there are some outdoor elements to consider, such as the patio at the Country Club of Virginia and walking to and from the church. However, foot traffic will be concentrated on paved outdoor areas, so there should not be a grass factor when deciding on your shoes!
The dress code for our wedding is black tie. We kindly ask guests to dress in formal evening attire. For men, this typically means a tuxedo with a bow tie. For women, floor-length gowns or elegant formal dresses are encouraged.
We love your little ones, but our wedding will be an adults-only celebration. We appreciate you making arrangements in advance and hope you enjoy a fun evening with us!
Buses will arrive at The Jefferson Hotel at 4:15 pm and will depart the hotel at 4:30 pm. Please note that the buses will not pick up guests from The Graduate Hotel. If you are staying at The Graduate, please walk to The Jefferson to catch the shuttle. Following the ceremony, the shuttles will take guests from the church to the Country Club of Virginia for the reception. Return shuttles to both hotels will be offered from CCV until 11 pm. We kindly ask that those driving to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church arrive by 5:45 pm to ensure that you are seated and settled before the ceremony begins. Shuttle buses will be available to take guests from CCV to The Jefferson. One early bus will be available around 9:15 pm for guests who wish to leave early. The remaining buses will depart CCV at 11:00 pm.
If your invitation is addressed to you and a guest, you are welcome to bring a plus-one. Please include his or her name when you respond.
