We met back in 2019 when Anne Marie started grad school at UTC. She became quick friends with Nicole Harty (see: Nicole Foreman, bridesmaid) and Nicole invited Anne Marie to hang out with her boyfriend, now husband, Cooper (see: Cooper Foreman, groomsman), and some of their friends at a CFC soccer game. That was the first time we met, and Anne Marie could definitely tell Aaron was the life of the party. We became friends hanging out in groups fairly often. In the fall of 2019, we went on a few dates together. We definitely enjoyed hanging out together, but for many reasons at that time, it was not the right time for us, and we know now that it was the Lord preparing us for our relationship now. We won't lie, there was a little awkwardness at first going back to being friends haha, but we stayed friends over the years with no hard feelings. Fast forward to the summer of 2021, we started hanging out more often and going to trivia with a group of our friends every week. Spending more time together reminded Anne Marie why she liked hanging out with Aaron in the first place and made her start wondering if there could be anything more again, but we continued to remain friends. After Anne Marie graduated from grad school in May 2022, she moved back to Chattanooga in hopes of finding a job and staying there. We started hanging out more with Nicole and Cooper, and unbeknownst to Anne Marie, Aaron started developing his "three month plan" all in hopes of asking Anne Marie to dance at the Foreman wedding in September. However, Anne Marie's plans to stay in Chattanooga to work didn't go as planned. She ended up getting a job in Orlando, FL (where she was going to live with her bestie pal !!! - see: Elizabeth Webb, bridesmaid). But, Aaron didn't want to let Anne Marie leave without telling her how he felt about her. Aaron planned the sweetest day date to many of Anne Marie's favorite places, including coffee, Chic-fil-a for lunch, hiking at Blue Hole, ice cream at Sonic, dinner at Main Street Meats, and dessert and sunset on Lookout Mountain at the hang gliding spot. It was a dream of a day and a date, and the start of the best thing that has happened to both of us. On August 29, 2022 we officially started dating. It was a little scary jumping into a relationship knowing it was going to be long distance for an unknown period of time, but we quickly realized it was so worth it and we were in it for the long haul. Long distance was not easy, but we made our own traditions, including nightly Wordle and NYT Crossword dates, and found creative ways to continue to deepen/strengthen our relationship. We dated long distance for exactly a year, and on our 1 year anniversary, Aaron helped Anne Marie pack up her stuff in Orlando, and we moved her back to Chattanooga! Fast forward again to November 11, 2023. Aaron suggested we have a date night where we went up to watch the sunset at the hang gliding spot on Lookout Mountain and dinner afterwards. Anne Marie had no idea, though, that he had planned the sweetest proposal and had both of our families there to witness it. AND planned, with the help of so many amazing friends, the most beautiful engagement party with all our friends and family there to celebrate with us. It was truly the most special and greatest night of both of our lives, until October 5, 2024 that is! We are so excited for you all to celebrate with us as we move into this new season of marriage!!
