Our top priority is your health, and there are a few key ways to set yourself up for optimal comfort while gaining altitude. Grand Mesa's elevation is no joke—about 10,050 ft! For those of you coming from sea level, it's extremely important that you take the proper precautions before attending the weekend. In a nutshell: - Start drinking more water up to a week before flying into CO. Try your best to triple your water intake, and drink more frequently. - Increase your elevation gradually. We recommend giving yourself 2-3 days of acclimating in either Grand Junction or downtown Cedaredge before attending the ceremony. - Take it easy and minimize your physical activity - Please check out more tips by copying and pasting the link here: https://www.denver.org/about-denver/resources/high-altitude-tips/ As an extra precaution, canned oxygen will be available for guests at all times.
The dress code is dressy casual. Think of an outfit you might wear to a celebratory brunch with family—sundresses, skirts, slacks, button downs, and shoes you won't mind getting a little muddy. With the hilly/grassy terrain, high heels are not recommended. Comfort is best!
As is typical for Colorado, we recommend packing some light layers/jackets, especially for the ceremony's mountain location. If you're staying in Grand Junction, expect 100 degree weather. If you're staying in downtown Cedaredge, expect weather closer to 80 degrees.
Transportation will be available in downtown Cedaredge to and from the ceremony.
Please RSVP by May 18th.
