Belle Isle

A 982-acre island park in the Detroit River between Michigan and Ontario. There is also a cool aquarium on Belle Isle.

Eastern Market

Detroit, MI

Explore the whole Eastern Market area for colorful murals, cafes and coney dogs. Vendors will be selling everything from tacos to produce on Saturday. On Sunday, see the space packed with local jewelers and artists.

Dequindre Cut Greenway

Formerly a Grand Trunk Railroad line, the Dequindre Cut Greenway is an urban two-mile recreational path that offers a fun pedestrian link between the East Riverfront, Eastern Market and several residential neighborhoods in between. Well-known for its examples of urban artwork and graffiti, the greenway features a 20-foot-wide paved pathway, with lanes for pedestrian and bicycle traffic. Buildings on each side of the Cut along some stretches provide a glimpse of what the railway looked like when it was a busy hub of activity bringing people and products to Eastern Market and to the Detroit Riverfront.

The Belt

The Belt is a perfect place to start an evening downtown. A culturally redefined alley, The Belt is named for its physical orientation in a former downtown garment district. Enjoy food, drinks and an arcade bar in the alley, oh and Punch Bowl Social is just around the corner.
