Jaago literally means "to wake up." Centuries ago, when wedding invites did not exist, relatives would go around to villages the night before the wedding day singing and dancing as an open invitation to the wedding. Nowadays, Jaago continues this pre-wedding tradition with a fun night of dancing, food, and togetherness!
8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Attire: Indian suits "Salwar kameez" in pastel, calm colors, and not black or white; modest clothing is a must; men can wear suits, and women would want to wear floor-length, long sleeve dresses or pants since we will be sitting on the floor of the temple; think of your "Sunday best"
Both breakfast and lunch will be served at the temple with all vegetarian food. Click through "The Sikh Wedding FAQs" tab for more info about this day!
