Jon and Anneliese met in 2023, while Jon was stationed at the USS Constitution and Anneliese was working at the USS Constitution Museum. With the partnership between the Ship and Museum, Jon and Anneliese would work together to give tours to school groups. It was in the quiet moments in the classroom before the students would arrive that Jon and Anneliese got to know each other more before going on their first date.
