The Proposal

Adam and Anneliese had decided to get away for a short vacation to New York for Anneliese's 26th birthday. On the second night Adam had decided to take Anneliese out for a special dinner at "Cafe Reggio" in Chelsea (right around the corner from Dr.Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum... it's a real place). Before we go any further with this story, you should know that Cafe Reggio is very small.... like 300 square feet max. Anyway, they were seated at a table about four inches away from another party, where they had lovely conversation, amazing food and top notch espresso. Once dinner was over Adam began to act unusual, nervous, stumbling over his words when he is usually loud and boisterous. Anneliese knew what was coming, and being the ever practical person she is told Adam "Please do not get on one knee, there isn't enough space". So, Adam begrudgingly with his puppy dog eyes and ever wanting to make a show of things, reluctantly agreed. He quietly asked if Anneliese would marry him. It was perfect, as it was their own moment, just between the two, without the rest of the world watching. Anneliese of course, said yes, as she is no dummy and knew that the best thing that had ever happened to her was in front of her. Not on one knee like he had planned, but firmly sitting in his chair and holding out a beautiful ring.
