You can say that we've always known each other. Our parents were friends since before we were born, and we'd see each other at parties or other events. But everything changed in December 2018 when we connected at a boat party in Haiti. It wasn't until December 2019 that we started dating, and the rest is history. We dated long distance for quite some time, first when Gaetan lived in Haiti and Anne-Laurence was in college in Maryland, and then when Gaetan was in New York and Anne-Laurence in Chicago. We saw each other as much as we could and cherished weekends together, until finally in January 2023 we both moved to Miami. We've been lucky enough to have each other through all the curve balls life has thrown our way over the past almost 6 years and have celebrated each other's wins, big and small. We've travelled the world together, from Thailand to Japan and Bali, and got engaged in Cappadocia, Turkey on October 7th, 2024. We are now planning the trip of a lifetime to Italy to say 'I do' and start our lives as husband and wife, and we cannot wait to gather our friends and family for such a beautiful occasion!
