In August of 2022, Joe and Anne took the trip of a lifetime, horse backing 20 miles to camp in the Bob Marshall Wilderness in Montana. After an 8-hour horseback ride, they woke up the next morning to ride through the wilderness to a secluded lake where they would spend the day. After hours of swimming and fishing in freezing, glacier-fed water, it was time to head back to camp. When the tour guide stopped to take photos with Joe, Anne, and their horses amongst the incredible backdrops, Anne learned that her adventures with Joe had just begun. While posing for a photo, Joe pulled out the ring he had brought across the county, into the wilderness, and got down on one knee where they promised to spend the rest of their lives traveling, adventuring, and being each other’s best friend. At camp that night, they stayed up to watch a meteor shower. Seeing the shooting stars solidified a perfect ending to a day that they would never forget.
