Our venue is in the West Bottoms so this would be a convenient place to stop at between the wedding and reception if you desire to get a drink. The old fashioned is delicious there!
Boulevard is a KC classic. This beer hall is fairly large so could accommodate a crowd. There is a rec dec here with shuffle board. If you're interested in a tour, check out their website.
During Christmas time, the plaza is a popular place to go in the evening! If you get here on a Friday night, you should check out the Plaza Lights! They are iconic!
Christmas Lights: The Plaza- as mentioned, the lights are iconic! It's located around Broadway Blvd and Ward Parkway The Brookside area- Some of the streets in this area of Kansas City go ALL OUT with decorating and have street themes. The areas that have lights will be around Ward Parkway and 70th Street in Kansas City, MO Ice Skating at Crown Center: 2540 Grand Blvd KCMO 64108 Christmas Pop Up Bars: Search for Kansas City Christmas Pop Up Bars. Some popular ones will be at Tom's Town, The Rieger, and various locations downtown and at the Plaza. Most require reservations fyi! Union Station: 30 W Pershing Rd KCMO 64108 Union Station typically has a Christmas Exhibit that you buy timed tickets for, so if you are interested check that out. Union station also has non-Christas exhibits as well including Science City, the Planetarium, and more.
If you want to check out where we had our first date here is where it was! They have coffee, tea, beer, cocktails, and food. If it's not too chilly you can finish your visit by going on a walk to the liberty memorial :)
