Our Elopment

10/3/202

While 2020 was filled with uncertainty, we were still able to celebrate our love and officially become husband and wife! Although the pandemic forced us to postpone our original wedding with friends and family, we "eloped" to Georgetown in Montrose Park. Our immediate family joined us as we exchanged vows and officially became the Silversteins! Unfortunately, we have decided to cancel our originally postponed wedding celebration for 6/18/2021 due to the ongoing circumstances and uncertainty. We hope to celebrate with everyone in the future!

Our Engagement!

We've been especially lucky over the years to have traveled to different cities around the US. As a result of these travels (and also Scott thinking he's ready for the tour), we have had the opportunity to play at some pretty awesome golf courses. Last August we took a long weekend to Wisconsin-- home of Whistling Straits, Erin Hills, and cheese! We started off the weekend on Friday with two rounds at Whistling Straits. After a long day of golf, we returned to the American Club where Scott had booked us an awesome dinner at "The Immigrant Room". Coincidentally, on our way over to dinner in one of the courtyards a violinist was playing for guests. Scott suggested stopping for a minute to listen, which seemed a bit unusual... After a few moments he said something along the lines of "do you think you want to do this forever?" followed by him dropping down to one knee and proposing! We capped off the night with a celebratory dinner, Taylor Swift's new album, and champagne at the Immigrant Room. The following day was spent sharing the news with friends and family, golf at Erin Hills and a Brewers game on the way out of town. Back in DC, we were greeted by some fellow Great Scott's (adult league softball team...) with a surprise get-together to cheer our engagement! We feel incredibly fortunate to have the chance to celebrate this special time with everyone and look forward to having you in DC!
