FAQs

Question

When's the RSVP deadline?

Answer

We ask that you RSVP as soon as possible and no later than May 1st, 2025. If you expect to need more time please let us know!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Please check your invitation for your +1! As we are hosting all of our guests at the villa, space is limited. Only those formally invited on your wedding invitation can be accommodated. If you have a +1, their name will appear when you RSVP. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We are so excited to celebrate with you! We can only accommodate the guests formally invited on your wedding invitations. While children from our immediate families will be present at our wedding, space for little ones at the villa is limited. If you’re able to make arrangements, we’d love for you to enjoy a child-free getaway. Please contact us for any questions!

Question

What should I wear to each event?

Answer

~Dress Code Guidelines~ Dress to impress and have fun with it! ✨ Summer weather will still be in full force, so keep that in mind when choosing your outfits :) WELCOME DINNER – Dressy Casual Think polished yet relaxed! Ladies: Options include a light sundress, skirt, or a maxi dress Gentlemen: A button-down shirt paired with slacks or khakis is perfect. We kindly ask that you avoid t-shirts and shorts. WEDDING CEREMONY – Formal Attire We’re celebrating in the stunning Italian countryside in the summertime, so embrace vibrant, elegant looks! Ladies: Think garden party chic—colorful ankle or floor-length gowns in florals, prints, bright colors, or pastels. Please avoid black if possible (ahem my new yorkers). Since our ceremony will be on grass and cocktail hour on gravel, we recommend wearing block heels or wedges instead of stilettos. (If you don't own a pair, try purchasing high heel protectors for grass on amazon) Gentlemen: A suit with a jacket is required for the ceremony (tie optional). Please no jeans or sneakers.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Absolutely! For our welcome dinner, we'll have a selection of beer, house wines, spritzes, and soft drinks available. At the wedding reception, we'll be offering a full open bar, including liquor. Throughout the rest of your stay, you're welcome to purchase drinks at the pool bar or the restaurant bar. Feel free to bring your own alcohol to enjoy in your rooms—duty-free shopping could be a good option! Just a heads-up, no outside alcohol in public areas and no private ragers in your rooms :D

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Tuscany in September is known to be exceptionally beautiful! The weather here early-September can range from lows of 62 degrees to highs of 80! It is often warm and sunny during the day so make sure you bring your swimsuits and sunscreen to enjoy the swimming pools at the venue! Evenings will be mild and cool so feel free to bring something to keep you warm.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

All of our events will be outdoors, weather permitting! These events include the welcome dinner, ceremony, and reception.

Question

Tips for driving to Villa Lena

Answer

Pisa Galileo Galilei Airport (45 km) 45min by car Florence International Airport (63km) 65 min by car You can fly into Rome or Milan, but this will require a train ride to Florence Driving Tips for Italy: - You must have an International Driving Permit (IDP) to rent a vehicle - can be obtained from AAA ($20) - Know the Road Signs: European driving signs and symbols differ significantly from those in the U.S., so it’s helpful to review them before your trip. - Speed Cameras Everywhere! Highways are monitored by speed cameras, with warning signs and Google Maps often indicating their locations. Many travelers have reported receiving tickets after their trip, so be mindful of speed! - ZTL Zones in Pisa & Florence: These restricted traffic zones (Zona a Traffico Limitato) have strict driving regulations. If renting a car from city center, you are only permitted to drive within the ZTL to exit or return the rental. Be sure to check your rental agreement and local regulations. - Most rental cars in Europe have manual transmissions, so if you prefer an automatic, be sure to request one when booking your rental. Our Experience Driving from Florence: The drive was overall quite easy and took 1 hour! However, the last 3 miles leading to Villa Lena are twisty, with *very* narrow two-way roads, so take your time and drive carefully.

Question

Is it okay to take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you do not use your phones during our ceremony, our highly skilled photographers will be doing all the work there! However, feel free to take as many photos and videos at all other times!
