Cuyahoga Valley National Park is the priveleged backyard of northeast Ohio with miles on miles of hiking trails. We especially recommend you check out The Ledges (trailhead address above), Brandywine Falls, or Blue Hen Falls.
Lock 3 Park
The site of ice skating in the winter and $5 concerts on summer Friday nights, Lock 3 sits along the Erie Canal that is the reason for Akron's existence. Stroll or bike along the towpath trail, sit in the sun, and if you get hungry head across the street to Lockview Restaurant- home of the gourmet grilled cheese and the site of Anne and John's first date.
The Holden Arboretum
One of the largest Botanical Gardens in the US famous for its canopy walks and emergent tower. Be sure to bring the Arboretum up with John when you see him!
Cedar Point
Roller coaster capitol of the world. If you're a thrill seaker up for a little drive this is a can't miss.
Canal Park
Home of Akron's minor league baseball team, the fearsome Rubber Ducks! They have home games Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. No need to plan ahead- if you're craving beer and a ballpark dog you can always snag a ticket right at the entrance.
