We’re Getting Married!

We met through Jake’s sister Rachael. Anne worked with Rachael at the time and was about to do the penguin plunge while raising money for the Special Olympics. During that time, Anne had made a funny post on Rachael’s Facebook page and Jake saw it and asked his sister who the cute girl who posted on her page was. Jake then decided to start up the conversation by donating to both Rachael and Anne for the event and Anne ended up messaging Jake back to get together for drinks to say thank you. We met in person for the first time the night of the plunge. Jake met Anne and Rachael out for dinner and bowling. The night ended with a really awkward hug. But that awkward hug soon became a first date, then many more dates after and became inseparable.

We had planned a family BBQ at Jake’s sisters home. Had some friends and family there. While the food was finishing cooking, someone suggested we started playing cornhole to pass the time. Anne and some other started playing a game. While that happened, Jake went behind the truck to grab the ring, while Anne’s back was turned towards him. He then came back around tapped Anne and asked the big question! Complete surprise for Anne and everyone started celebrating when she said yes!!
