Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

While there is not direct shuttles, both Uber and Lyft are available to take you to and from your hotel to Belle Isle.

Can I bring a date?

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Semi- Formal, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.

Why Belle Isle?

Answer

I have always loved Detroit's history, and as Andy and I started dating I began to take him places he hadn't been. Detroit is finally starting to turn around and there are some really neat places to go and explore. Andy and I were able to ride on Belle Isle with the horses one year and since being able to do that we both have found a passion for Belle Isle. We looked at multiple venues on the island, but the Boat House stuck out to us the most. While the outside of the Boat House is not back to its original glory yet, the inside is stunning. Don't let the cracking plaster fool you as you walk up the steps and open the large wooden doors. As soon as you step in you'll be blown away with the design and architecture. So come on down, spend the day with us and let us show you how Detroit is turning around!
