We met on Facebook Dating at the beginning of 2025. Ironically, neither of us had ever seriously considered a long-distance relationship. But God had other plans—Anne’s profile showed up on Alex’s page, and something just clicked. After connecting online, Alex flew from Wisconsin to Delaware in February to meet Anne for the first time. It didn’t take long for sparks to fly. We laughed endlessly together, spoke about our faith and values and that early connection quickly grew into something truly special. Despite the distance, we made it a priority to be there for life’s big moments—whether it was Alex’s thesis defense, birthdays, or simply visiting one another. In August, we took a relaxing trip to Marco Island, Florida, with Alex’s family. It was during that trip, during a breathtaking sunset, that Alex surprised Anne with a romantic proposal. She said yes—completely shocked and overjoyed! We’ve chosen July 11th as our wedding day in honor of St. Benedict. We cherish the St. Benedict medal and its powerful prayer, which has been a spiritual anchor in our relationship. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
