I met Annie at an interesting and hard time in her life. I watched her work and heal through several personal tragedies. I saw the strong, thoughtful, beautiful woman she was and knew that I wanted to be apart of her life. I asked several mutual friends about her and eventually worked up the courage to ask her to an incredibly bad horror movie. Over time we built a foundation of real, steady love and I can’t imagine my life without her. Getting to see her continue to blossom has been the best part of my life.

We met in Baton Rouge in the fall of 2023. Joey invited me to see a movie. The movie was awful. He was great. Tall, smart, and handsome- I of course agreed to go on a second date. On the following dates I learned more about him, and my attraction grew. Not only was he smart and handsome, he was honest and genuine. He was funny. (It’s important to note here, not as funny as me, but funny nonetheless.) He was well- read. He made me feel more like me. He was strong in his convictions and his belief in god, and adamant about what the future could hold for us. He hasn’t been wrong yet.
