Papago Park
Gavin proposed here at sunrise. The views of the desert are beautiful all day, but at sunrise and sunset they are particularly spectacular. The walk to hole in the rock is very short. This spot is perfect for getting a taste of the beautiful Arizona red rock without having to drive for hours.
Musical Instrument Museum
This museum is packed full of musical instruments from almost every country and time period you could think of. It's an amazing and immersive experience. The stories behind these instruments are fascinating. We would recommend going in the morning and staying all day to be able to see all the different areas.
Novel Ice Cream
This ice cream shop is a favorite Gavin and Anne's. They have been there multiple times with family and friends. Their chocolate and vanilla ice cream flavors have both won national awards. Gavin's favorite flavor is the bourbon toffee caramel crunch and Anne usually picks one of the weekly rotating flavors.
