We're getting Married!

You are cordially invited to attend our wedding ceremony in Temecula, CA on August 4th, 2018 or if you prefer, you are also welcome to attend our Encore Reception on September 2nd, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Tepotzotlan, Estado de Mexico, Mexico (Oscar's hometown). Please RSVP to the California wedding and respond yes or no to the Encore Reception in Tepotzotlan by March 1st, 2018. We look forward to having you at either occasion to celebrate! De igual manera, se le invita a una pequeña recepción en el lugar de nacimiento de Oscar, Tepotzotlan, Estado de Mexico, Mexico. Esta recepción se llevara a cabo el día sábado primero de septiembre del año 2018. We were both members of the Chorale at Valparaiso University in Indiana during our undergrad. We actually went on a double date with our different significant others once. Only later did we realize we were on the date with the wrong people! Our first real date involved mojitos and the Great Gatsby. Music brought us together and love took over... After I graduated, Oscar had one more year at Valpo. I started working in Lincoln Park, Chicago as a K-5 general music teacher, band and choir teacher, private lesson instructor, and church musician and we knew it would be hard. But then we flip flopped! He started working last year at DePaul University in Lincoln Park after his graduation and I found a job in West Chicago, the northwest suburbs, as an elementary general music teacher. Long distance still could not beat us.

While on a walk in Lincoln Park, Chicago, Oscar decided to pop the question. It was beautiful and priceless in every sense! However, here's the background: When we went to Peru this past summer, Oscar was thinking of proposing. He prepared everything but just didn't know when the right moment would come. Get this, he carried the ring with him the whole time we were in Peru! Even carried it up to Machu Picchu Mountain! He didn't propose up on the mountain because I was extremely sick...but hey, he eventually found the most perfect location. Lincoln Park is our favorite place and now forever in our memories of the day we said YES!

We are extremely excited to invite you to our wedding to celebrate the four and a half years we have shared together and the start of many more to come. We would be honored for your presence with us in Temecula, California at Lorimar Vineyard and Winery. Good wine, good company, lots of love.

We are thankful for our parents and families who support us through everything. We are unbelievably grateful for their help and love through this adventure.
