It all began in the band room at Culver Summer Schools and Camps in the summer of 2021. What started as two campers playing Trumpet in the Culver Naval Band soon became a Friendship. From long days marching side by side to nights filled with socials and long talks by Lake Max, a friendship began to blossom. When the final Ball arrived, Nick nervously asked Annay to be his date. Neither of them knew it then, but that very place would one day become the setting of an even bigger question — one that would change their lives forever. After camp ended, they returned home — Annay to Columbus, Nick to Cleveland. But distance couldn’t quiet what had begun. Every FaceTime call stretched a little longer, every goodbye became a little harder. In November of 2021, Annay visited Nick’s hometown. On November 24th, 2021, Nick finally asked the question that felt long overdue: “Will you be my girlfriend?” And Now 5 years Later they are saying "I Do" to a lifetime of adventures and Happiness!
