Southern California guests: it is usually cheaper to fly out of Tijuana, MX (TIJ) to Guatemala City, Guatemala (GUA). If you do fly out of Tijuas, don't forget there are additional costs for visa. There are direct flights only from Los Angeles (LAX) to Guatemala City, Guatemala (GUA). Volaris airlines usually has inexpensive flight options, but it is not the best airline. Preferable airlines are Avianca and AeroMexico (free booze on flight). Make sure to check for additional charges, such as luggage.
