Maid of Honor
You know how they say, “you go to college to meet your bridesmaids”? Well I met more than a bridesmaid, I met my Maid of Honor. While we may not have known each other growing up, there are few people that know me like Michelle does. She’s been my ride or die since day one!
Maid of Honor
When you flip to BFF in the dictionary, you’ll probably see a picture of Alexis. She has been MY person for over a decade. The friend that has experienced every high and every low with me and has never left my side! She had to act surprised when I asked her to be my maid of honor because we all knew it was coming!
Bridesmaid
I went to visit Daniel in Puerto Rico the first summer we dated. Consequently, not only did Clara and I have to share a bed as strangers but we also shared an airplane isle after leaving her whole family behind in Puerto Rico (whoops). From then on out, I knew Clara wouldn't only be the friend I share every adventure with, but my sister I get to go through life with.
Bridesmaid
Out of the many amazing things my brother has done in his life, marrying this woman is definitely at the top. Dani became family since day one. She quickly caught on to my family's craziness and embraced it with open arms. She became my sister by law, but I love her as if we were related by blood.
Bridesmaid
We claim our mom's did pregnant pilates together while they were pregnant with us and while that might not be entirely true, it definitely feels that way. I can't think of a time in my life when Cristina wasn't a part of it. She's been there from the very beginning and at some point in the past 24 years, she stopped being a friend and became my sister.
Bridesmaid
Daniela's the other third to the Rodriguez/Rolph sister clan. The kind of sister that soothes you simply with a soft smile, has the words of wisdom a mom gives, and makes you laugh until your stomach hurts. While I may not have been related by blood to the Rolph's, I'm forever grateful to have known what having a sister feels like my whole life.
Bridesmaid
From high school football games to ditching fraternity date nights to get McFlurrys, no one understands my love for brunch and ice cream quite like this girl. We've experienced every high school and college "first" together, I can't imagine going through life without Victoria.
Bridesmaid
Every piece of clothes I outgrew and every toy I outplayed, went straight down to Montse. I would see pictures of her looking like my mini me and it warmed my heart. I've adored this girl her whole life, so much so that I kept a baby picture of her in my wallet as a 10 year old. God gave me Montse as a cousin but I'm so lucky to get to call her a friend.
Best Man
Scooter and I played ultimate at UTSA for 4 years together, we were roomies our senior year and we hosted the baddest parties. We had the fiercest Mario Kart competitions and we battled it out as co-captains of the UTSA Ultimate team. He was truly a formidable opponent whenever we competed head to head. The man is one of a kind and he’s been there for me ever since Pawie and I started dating. I have him to thank for being the one to push me to finally make it official with Pawie almost 6 years ago.
Groomsman
The gentlest of gentleman. You won’t find a more thoughtful guy than this man right here. Ed is Clara’s boyfriend and a real brother to me, and an integral part of the Smith-Salgado family. Oh and he likes long walks on the beach while sipping on a Corona.
Groomsman
JC Rodriguez. I can’t say enough good things about my future brother in law. He is the epitome of a hard worker, he’s a handsome devil and he’s the big brother I never had, a real role model. The man is about to be a father too so he’ll need a good escape come bachelor party time.
Groomsman
Henry Klein or HK as the boys say! Is an American original, why? You don’t need an explanation...okay. I've know Henry the longest and from middle school to high school we were French Horn wizards but he was usually always better than me, so growing up I always tried to be like HK. He was definitely my first role model in my life. Also we had our first alcoholic drinks together. The drink? Mikes hard lemonade.
Groomsman
The younger brother I never had. We first met on Xbox playing COD MW2 and yes we did survive those brutal MW2 lobby’s. I think it really shaped us into the men we are today. He and I were both band nerds together and we became close brothers throughout high school and college. Over the past 6 years, the Palomo family has really taken Pawie and me in as their own and made us feel a part of their family.
Groomsman
Stuart and I went through the Geology program at UTSA together and we were the source of much of the tomfoolery that happened in our classes. But we made the most of our undergraduate experience by going to Spain to do our Field Camp. Also the guy puts on muscle mass quicker than I’ve seen anyone make gains. Coming in at 170lb, the dude can max out 255lb on bench.
Groomsman
My Puerto Rican brotha: Teen Cruz is the most gregarious, nonchalant dude you'll ever meet, and it all stems from that great 'stache of his. He and I played ultimate for a number of years at UTSA and club in Austin. The guy is always down for an adventure, seriously whatever, camping hiking , climbing, cruisin down sunset boulevard, you name it.
