Thank you all for being a beautiful part of our wedding day! We had the time of our lives and the love that surrounded us that day was so meaningful and astounding. You all contributed to one of the most special days of our lives and we appreciate every single person who came, sent their love, or held us in their thoughts on our big day!
Like all good how we met stories, this one starts in a bar. Engrossed in the weekly Trivia Game at Ye Old Falcon Pub, Shane glances up to meet the group's new arrival and suddenly needs only one answer to one question, "Do you shop at Whole Foods?" We had met many times over the months prior. Shane would jump to my line as I was checking out, pack up my purchases, and I would shyly hurry off. Never truly interacting, him too much a gentleman to interrupt my going about my day. Until that one night and our official introduction at the bar. Fatefully being in the same place at the same time outside of our daily routines, Shane broke the silence with one unexpected inquiry that Trivia Night.
The following months we fell in love over our shared love of our cats and weekday trips to Miami to see the Marlin's play in a stadium we virtually had to ourselves. He said he was going to marry me from the first month we dated and eventually that became less and less a joke as we grew together and started to become part of each other's families. Opening a restaurant together was a bonding challenge of it's own and we both become very aware of the meaning of true dedication to each other and our future together. After that point our relationship grew exponentially and we soon moved in together blending our lives and our animals for the first time.
It was in our home, among our most loved animals, about to head out to work, that after a short squabble about our direction or commitment or whatever it is people squabble over before they know, Shane ended any concern in Ann's mind by getting down on one knee and procuring the elegant, emerald engagement ring he had stashed away just weeks ago. That profound moment changed our lives and has elated us for all the subsequent days and we can't wait to share the next big step in our lives, our wedding day, with all of our loved ones and friends.
