Question

Where are the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The ceremony is 2PM at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church (16304 Pond Meadow Lane, Bowie) and the reception is 3:30PM at The Elk's Lodge (1506 Defense Highway, Gambrills)

Question

How fun will this be on a scale of 1-10?

Answer

This varies depending on how fun YOU are. This wedding will bring together two large Irish families who really love to dance. So 10.

Question

What are we eating?

Answer

The wedding is being catered by Chesapeake Grill, buffet style. We're doing a build-your-own pasta bar, and will have options for vegetarian and gluten free guests. Kids meals are also accounted for from your RSVP.

Question

What should I expect at a Catholic wedding?

Answer

Lots of sitting and standing. Several priests. Some scripture, some music, etc. You can expect to be in the church for an hour. If you are not Catholic, you can either remain seated during communion or go up in the line with everyone else while crossing your arms over your chest. This means you'll receive a blessing rather than the eucharist.

Question

Is there a certain dress code?

Answer

There is no official dress code for this wedding. The bridesmaids will be wearing hunter green, but the bride will not mind if guests are wearing the same color. Just wear something you can dance in!
