Naveen and Ann’s story began in 2011 when Naveen and his family moved to Folsom and they started going to the same high school, church, and became part of one community. Rather than love at first sight, they took the longer route into discovering their feelings for each other. Their friendship started unexpectedly in May, 2012 when Ann fractured her leg and Naveen messaged her “How are you feeling?”. A few months later they decided to date and from there the rest is history. They went from sharing their first date in a parking lot eating ice cream and talking to making the tough decision to do long distance. They lived out 5 years of their relationship through texts, calls, and the short breaks when they got to be in the same city. Their relationship went through ups and downs but at the end of the day they couldn’t imagine life without each other. They are a team and best friends who not only love each other, but just really like each other as people. Fast forward to 2021, they are getting ready to share a life and home together and could not be more excited for the rest of their journey together.
We were at the Golden Gate Bridge taking pictures and I was turned away from him holding an umbrella for a picture while he was on one knee behind me. My friends told me to turn around but right then a huge gust of wind flipped the umbrella. I was so preoccupied with the umbrella that I didn’t notice him on one knee trying to propose. My friends tried to direct my attention to him and once I noticed him, it was the easiest yes I’ve ever said! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in May!
