Brewery Ommegang
Local brewery + much more; 24min / 19mi north of the hotels FRI/SAT 12:00PM - 5:00PM SUN 11:00AM - 4:00PM Founded in 1997 as the first farmstead brewery built in America in over 100 years, Brewery Ommegang has long set the standard for Belgian-style brewing in America. Guided tastings are offered on a first-come, first-served basis for $15 per person. We are big fans of their beer! Stop by Café Ommegang to enjoy a bite to eat in the café, the bar, or on the patio. Brewery Ommegang also features a public 9-hole disc golf course that winds through the brewery campus, and is free to use from dawn to dusk daily on a first-come, first-served basis.
Red Shed Brewery
Local brewery with outdoor garden and food truck; 25 min / 19mi north of the hotels THU/FRI/SAT 12:00PM - 9:00PM SUN 12:00PM - 5:00PM (food trailer closes an hour before taproom) Red Shed Brewery's Cooperstown Taproom is located on County Highway 33, less than half a mile down the road from Brewery Ommegang. The “Fresh Eats” food trailer serves a full dining menu to complement 20 taps of craft beer and other beverages from local producers. Red Shed is always looking for a reason to party and has a weekly line-up of events and entertainment. In the summer, their dog-friendly outdoor beer garden is open for customers of all ages with yard games, fire pit and a large party tent.

Schoharie Valley Farms/The Carrot Barn
Farmer's market, cafe/bakery, and greenhouse; 45 minutes / 48 miles northeast of the hotels. Open daily 9:00AM - 6:00PM In the early 1700s, German and Dutch immigrants arrived in the Valley to work some of the richest soils of America. Their first crop of wheat was sown and produced a substantial yield. A few decades later, the Schoharie Valley’s wheat fed George Washington’s troops and earned the Valley the title of “Breadbasket of the American Revolution." With some of the best farmland in New York state, Schoharie Valley Farms continues its legacy to this day. Check out their farmer's market ("The Carrot Barn"), farm-to-table bakery & cafe, and expansive greenhouse which will be teeming with fresh summer crops, including herbs, summer annuals, vegetables (including heirloom tomato plants), and perennials.

Howe Caverns
Underground cave tours; 44min / 44mi northeast of the hotels FRI 10:00AM - 2:00PM SAT/SUN 10:00AM - 3:00PM Every tour of Howe Caverns starts with a 156 ft descent below the earth’s surface… At the great cave of the Northeast, the doors open into a prehistoric underground cavern 6 million years in the making. Trained tour guides help navigate the cave and teach about its magnificent natural features. The cave is 52°F so a jacket or sweatshirt is recommended. The cave tour consists of a 1.25 mile walk with a 0.25 mile boat ride. Back on the surface, mine for gemstones at Howe Caverns Mining Co. Reservations required, online tickets only.
National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum
Legendary home of baseball history; 32min / 24mi north of the hotels Open daily 9:00AM - 7:00PM The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY serves as the central point of the history of baseball in the United States and displays baseball-related artifacts and exhibits, honoring those who have excelled in playing, managing, and serving the sport. The Hall's motto is "Preserving History, Honoring Excellence, Connecting Generations". Cooperstown is often used as shorthand (or a metonym) for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, similar to "Canton" for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. Bramley Mountain Trail
3.4mi trail loop; 30min / 20mi southeast of the hotels The Bramley Mountain Trail is one of the most popular hiking options in the western Catskills. The complete, moderately challenging, 3.4-mile loop visits the summit with its site of a former fire tower, a beautiful abandoned bluestone quarry, an the impressive cliffs and caves that lie between. It is suggested that you hike the Quarry Trail to the top and descend via the Summit Trail to get the best views of all the sights this trail has to offer. Estimated time to complete: 2 hours

Mud Lake Trail at Robert V. Riddell State Park
Discover this 5.9-mile out-and-back trail near Colliersville, New York. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 29 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking and running, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash. Elevation gain: 767 ft.
