Please RSVP on Zola or return our card by mail by February 10, 2018
The ceremony begins at 5:30 p.m. on the bridge in the lower garden near the Inamori Pavillion. The lower garden has it's own entrance gate that will open at 5:00. Note: Please DO NOT go to the main public entrance of the Japanese Friendship Garden as it will be closed. The address of the Pavillion for your GPS is 2220 Paseo de Oro, San Diego, Ca 92101. From Park Blvd, turn onto President's Way and immediately turn right onto Paseo de Oro. Look for a sign that says Gillaspy Wedding. Follow the road until you reach the parking lot. We will have 30 parking spaces reserved exclusively for our wedding guests and we suggest that you carpool to insure enough spaces for everyone. Walk the path up to the entrance gate by the Pavillion. which will be unlocked at 5:00 p.m. Staff will direct you to the ceremony site.
This is not a formal wedding by any means. Comfortable cocktail attire is suggested. As the ceremony is outdoors and the temperature is unknown, a jacket, sweater or wrap is always a good idea. The sun is scheduled to set around 7:30 that evening, so you will have time to enjoy the spectacular garden.
We are not registered as we respectfully ask for no gifts. Our most treasured gift is the honor of your presence. If you are so called, perform an act of kindness to a struggling stranger. The possibilities are endless... and the need is great. Provide a cup of coffee, a meal, a no longer needed coat or blanket or even just a compassionate ear to someone lonely or isolated.
