Update

To our dearest family & friends, Due to the current situation surrounding COVID-19, both Alex and myself have decided to cancel our upcoming wedding celebration. While this was an incredibly difficult decision, we cannot in good conscience compromise the health and safety of our loved ones. We will move forward with a wedding ceremony, but for everyone’s safety this will be held in private. With all our love, Ann & Alex

About the bride and groom

Ann currently resides in the Greater Boston area working in the insurance industry as an underwriter. While she is a current resident of Massachusetts, Ann is also a proud New Hampshire native who spends much of her free time planning her return to her home state. Ann enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and sharing meals with others, a glass of wine, a good book, and the sound of bagpipes. She loves taking leisurely walks, gardens, being in nature, and pretty much all of God’s creatures, great and small. Alex also works in the insurance industry in the role of an IT wiz. He spends much of his time assisting Ann and her parents (but mostly Ann) with their burning computer questions (problems). In 2016, Alex moved from New Jersey to the Boston area to be with Ann. While not a New Hampshire native, Alex shares Ann’s love and enthusiasm for her homeland and wishes to start a life in the Granite State. When Alex isn’t spending time with family, he enjoys fishing, working with his hands, and cooking (mostly eating). He loves playing guitar, music of all kinds, hiking and dogs (a man after Ann’s own heart). For those who haven’t met Alex, he is 6’6”. However, we’re not sure he enjoys being reminded of it, so please refrain from asking how the weather is up there…

How they met

After graduating from college in Texas, Ann moved to New Jersey for a job opportunity. It was there that she met Alex, who also landed a job at the same company. About a year after their first introduction, Alex noticed Ann had a flat tire and kindly offered to change it for her. They began dating shortly after this encounter and joke that Alex may have been responsible for leaking the air out of her tire to score a first date.

The proposal

Toward the end of 2017, Ann caught wind that Alex had bought a ring with the intention of proposing. Ann, not being one for surprises, spent each visit at Alex’s apartment sneaking around and quietly tearing through every nook and cranny in hopes of finding the ring. After many months of searching turning up empty-handed, she gave up and nearly forgot about the whole thing. On a sunny spring day in 2018, Alex suggested they take a hike on Wachusett Mountain. They spent the climb and descent reminiscing about the past and dreaming of one day having a future together. It was then that Alex got down on one knee and popped the question. It has been nearly two years since that special day, and we could not be more excited to share our next momentous occasion with you at our wedding on May 24th, 2020.
