Question

What about COVID?

Answer

To ensure a safe celebration, we are asking that all guests either be fully vaccinated or get tested for COVID-19 within 48 hours of our wedding. Additionally, we replanned our wedding to be mostly outdoors. Our ceremony will be completely outdoors (unless it rains), dinner will be under a tent with open sides, and dancing will take place in a well-ventilated barn with large open doors. We expect that the substantial majority of our 250 guests will be vaccinated. We understand that everyone's comfortable with a different level of risk, and we will not take offense to anyone opting out of part or all of our wedding day.

Question

Where can I get a COVID test?

Answer

Beaumont Urgent Care has several locations in metro Detroit offering same-day COVID test results (www.wellstreet.com/covid-19-testing-beaumont/). Additional testing sites and resources are available at michigan.gov/coronavirus. If you are traveling, you may prefer to get tested in your home area before coming to Michigan.

Question

What is the plan if it rains?

Answer

Our venue has an indoor, glass greenhouse we will be using for our ceremony if it rains. The reception is completely covered by a tent and barn. If you are uncomfortable attending the indoor ceremony, feel free to show up afterwards in the case of rain.

Question

I'm confused...is this wedding in Detroit or Chelsea?

Answer

Because of COVID, we relocated our ceremony & reception to an outdoor venue in Chelsea, but will still be staying in Detroit and hosting a Saturday night welcome event there. If you don't plan to attend Saturday's welcome event, you may prefer to find accommodations in Ann Arbor or Chelsea to be closer to Sunday's venue.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

There is abundant parking at Robin Hills Farm for those wishing to drive themselves. We will also be providing bus transportation to & from the Detroit Foundation Hotel. The bus schedule will be shared closer to the wedding date.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The wedding dress code is black tie optional. Tuxedos and long gowns are welcome, but certainly not required. Please make sure to wear lawn appropriate shoes. Our venue is a farm with both grass and gravel surfaces. There is a short walk from the ceremony site to the reception down a short set of gravel stairs with no railing. Transportation will be available for those in need. For the welcome event at Parc, the dress code is dressy casual. Jeans are welcome.

Question

Can I bring my kids? A guest?

Answer

We want to celebrate with everyone, but also stay within the capacity of our venue. Please stick with those listed on your invitation.
