Will and Annie first met through mutual friend groups at a Labor Day get together before their 4th year of college in 2019! They briefly met there as Will was dropping off friends and Annie thought he was cute. They didn't cross paths again until an October Friday night (10/18/19) when the same friend groups met up at a bar called Flour City Station to watch a band! The name of said band was not ever known, but Annie asked Will what he was drinking, and Will asked Annie to dance and the rest is history. The one song they both wanted to hear was 'Walking in Memphis' but the band never played it, and became a running joke for them! Will asked Annie on their first date at a Halloween costume party at Nashville's. He took her to get her first Rochester garbage plate at Nick Tahou's, and for drinks at the Genesee Brew House. They never stopped talking and joking that night, and have not since.

Will planned with Annie's Mom and family to propose at her childhood home! Annie had wanted an engagement that was sentimental, captured memories, and able to celebrate with family after. The plan was to celebrate Will's birthday at the D'Aurizio's house in Wolcott on September 29th, 2024 with her family and his parents. Annie's Mom asked Will and Annie to go check on L.C. so Annie led the way. Once they got to the Arbor, Will stopped Annie, and said he had something important to say. He got down on one knee, pulled the ring box out of the beautiful mums that were set up around the arbor, and asked Annie to marry him! She said yes, and they were able to celebrate with their families and have the moment captured with pictures! One of the best days of our lives, and we got to share it with loved ones and remember a special day at a special place.
