Fairfield Inn & Suites (Our primary hotel block for reserved rooms)

We have reserved a block of rooms here for $134 a night (+ tax). They're reserved for the nights of 5/20/2021, 5/21/2021, and 5/22/2021. Book your room before August 20th, because at that point any un-booked rooms will be released from our reservation. The check-in time for this hotel is 3pm, so if you plan to arrive on 9/22 ask for early check-in, and they will accommodate if possible.

Bus from Fairfield Inn & Suites and Holiday Inn Express to the Cabin Ridge venue

September 22, 2020 2:30 pm - 10:30 pm

A bus will be available to transport you to the venue and back again at the end of the night from two hotel locations (Fairfield Inn & Suites and Holiday Inn Express). If you plan to use the bus, please indicate so on your updated RSVP/Change-the-Date card after you receive your invitation. The bus will be picking people up at Holiday Inn Express between 2:30 and 2:40pm, and Fairfield Inn & Suites between 2:45 and 2:55pm. The bus will not make other stops, so if you are staying in a cabin or another hotel, please arrange alternative (sober) transportation. Also, the bus will not leave the venue before 10:00 pm, so plan on staying the whole time or arranging another ride if you would like to leave earlier.

Our ceremony and reception are located at The Cabin Ridge: 323 Shadow Run Road Hendersonville, NC 28792. Parking is available at the venue.

Flight

Asheville Regional Airport

The Asheville airport is the closest airport to Hendersonville (20 minute drive). However, flying to this airport tends to be more expensive than flying to Charlotte, and it takes just as long to travel to Hendersonville as flying to Charlotte, because there are no direct flights here from MSP.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport

The Charlotte airport is two hours away from Hendersonville, but it is cheaper to fly into this airport than to Asheville.

Cabin Rentals

There are many cabins within 30 minutes of the venue that you could rent as an alternative to a hotel. These tend to be pricier than hotels, but can still be affordable if split between a group. Most cabins in the area come with a hot tub and amazing mountain views! I recommend searching for cabin rentals around Hendersonville or Lake Lure on VRBO or Airbnb. Keep in mind the venue is off of Highway 64 and situated between Lake Lure and Hendersonville. Cabins near the "Edneyville" or "Fruitland" areas of the search maps on both websites will be closest to the venue (address 323 Shadow Run Road Hendersonville, NC 28792).

Driving from Minnesota

Hendersonville, NC is a 16-hour drive from the Twin Cities. However, you have to pass through the Chicago metro area on this drive, which tends to have heavy traffic, so you should plan on driving for 17 hours plus stops. While not short, the drive from Minnesota to North Carolina is beautiful, with Wisconsin dairy land giving way to sunny green corn country in Illinois and Indiana, then the slow rise of the foothills of the Appalachians in Kentucky, and finally a drive through the beautiful mountains themselves in Tennessee and North Carolina.

Hendersonville is a three hour drive from Atlanta, and a five hour drive from Columbus, GA.
