Answer

Airbnb has great options in Tujunga-Sunland and La Canada, many with multiple rooms and backyards—perfect for families. Larger hotels are available in Glendale and Pasadena.

What can I expect at the reception?

Answer

The reception will be held at the bride's family home in Sunland with a large backyard. We'll have an open bar with beer, signature cocktails, wine, and nonalcoholic options. The backyard celebration will feature live music, taco catering, and dessert. Expect dancing, wedding toasts, and a cake ceremony- please wear close-toed shoes, and let us know if you need mobility accommodations.

Can you clarify the dress code, please?

Sure! The dress code is rustic/a notch below semi-casual. So think of it like you’re going to a nice early dinner at a ranch winery. St. James is a cute local Catholic Church surrounded by the foothills, so a bare shoulder here and there is a-ok. Weather is expected to be sunny and clear, so lighter layers may be a good idea. The reception area is hilly, so as long as you can walk or dance in your shoes, you should be good! We now have a page dedicated to style inspo, so check it out!
