We attended UMaine Farmington together from 2015-2019. Our paths crossed many times, but fate didn't bring us together until later. In April 2020, amid COVID shut-downs, we connected over a picture of Annalise's newly-adopted dog, Marcie, on Instagram. This led to our first date with Marcie and Winston, Jed’s family’s English Setter, at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center trails.

We both felt something special, and when the time came for Jed to return to Jackson Hole, we took a leap of faith and chose to try long distance dating. A few visits and months later, Annalise decided to move out West. After much stress, excitement, and uncertainty, we settled ourselves into the Teton Valley, Idaho community.

We knew this was it for us! Jed made his proposal under some well-timed, unplanned fireworks in Teton Village, Wyoming on April 1, 2023. We kept the proposal a secret, and Jed planned a second proposal to take place at the top of Quill Hill in front of both our families while we were back East in July, 2023.
