Our Day

The Wedding Website of Annalise Furka and William Krause
Where should I go, and when should I be there? Here's a detailed timeline of our day:

Friday, October 9, 2026

Nuptial Mass

2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart
89 Ridge St., Newark, NJ 07101

DRESS CODE: This event is black tie formal. We also ask that all guests dress in the color BLACK. See FAQ page for more details.

Our wedding day begins with the most important part - getting married!! The mass begins at 2pm, so we would advise all guests to arrive between 1:30 and 1:45 to provide ample time for parking, seating, and exploring the beautiful Cathedral! NOTE: Guests may not be permitted to re-enter the cathedral post-ceremony if there is a wedding after ours, so please keep this in mind and take any desired photos beforehand and bring all belongings with you when you leave!

Dedicated Photo Time & Hotel Check-in

3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Post-ceremony, all guests will have a few hours to take photos, check into their hotels, and travel to the venue. The bridal party will be taking photos at the Cathedral, and then traveling to Liberty State Park to take additional photos there before traveling to the venue. Guests are more than welcome to join the bridal party at these locations for photos, go straight to their hotel to check in, or find another activity to fill the time prior to cocktail hour.

Cocktail Hour & Reception

6:00 pm - 11:00 pm

Beginning at 6pm, there will be a cocktail hour in the Dome ballroom, which will include passed hors d'oeuvres, various food stations, an open bar, and access to an outdoor patio area. Beginning at 7pm, guests will move into the Laurel Ballroom immediately adjacent, but will have access to the Dome ballroom for the duration of the evening. Here, a sit-down dinner, open bar, wedding cake, and dessert station will be provided along with another outdoor area available to guests. Dinner will be three courses, with a provided menu that guests can choose from and order tableside. Any individual preferences or allergies can be discussed with the server the night of. Additionally and perhaps most importantly, there will be LOTS of dancing. While this is a very formal event, we want to show our guests a great time as a small thank you for attending, so we expect all guests to come prepared to have the most fun night of their lives and be ready to party ;)

After Party

Fri, Oct 9, 2026, 11:00 pm - Sat, Oct 10, 2026, 1:00 am

After the reception, guests who want to keep the party going may go back to the Madison Hotel (where we have a reserved room block) for an after party. At the hotel, there are two restaurants with cash bars that remain open until 1am that guests can use whether they are staying at the hotel or not, and guests may also utilize the hotel lobby and restaurants to keep the party going! This is most convenient for those staying at the hotel, as whenever you're ready to end your night you can simply go up to your room!
