LACKAWANNA COFFEE
If you’re looking for coffee that isn’t Starbucks, this is our favorite local spot. A few locations around Jersey City - check out the Grove St one as well if downtown! ☕️
Taqueria Downtown
There has been debate if these are the best tacos, at least on the East coast 🌮 Weekends you will have to be prepared for a wait, and when they ask if you like spicy for the steak taco please know they really mean it.
White Star
Our go-to place to bring out-of-town guests, this American restaurant has variety for everyone. We think the Double Burger, Double Cheese is the best burger in Jersey City 🍔
Razza
Highest rated pizza in Jersey City, making a lot of top lists in the tri-state area 🍕The wait can be long - we’d recommend a reservation or patience. Either way, worth it if you’re a fan of neopolitan-style pizza.
Krispy Pizza
Another pizza option for anyone craving a New York slice. Krispy is a short walk from the hotel and won't disappoint.
Hudson Hall
Beer hall plus good food, definitely more elevated than standard bar food 🍻 They’re known for their BBQ, but you can’t go wrong with wings, beer, sports (or cocktails and donuts).
Torico
Because don’t we all scream for ice cream? This family-run business serves homemade ice cream with a flavor sure to please, whether you’re looking for a classic or something more unusual 🍦
The Waterfront
The Jersey City waterfront has a great walking path along the Hudson River. Look across at NYC while taking a stroll through our neighborhood. Bonus: This is right where the hotel is - good option if looking for some low key exploring!
Downtown Jersey City | Grove Street
A lot of places to eat, drink, or just enjoy walking around as the downtown area has been converted to a walkable pedestrian mall. A lot of gems in this area.
Exchange Place
Hyatt House is conveniently located in the heart of Exchange Place, with easy access to the Lightrail (to Hoboken) or PATH (one stop to NYC). If you’re looking to explore beyond Jersey City and want recommendations, we’re happy to share some favorites!
